Some people may say that men are better than women but I completely disagree. And I don't say that because I am a young woman myself. Men and women brains think differently. According to an article that I read, Men and Women: Differences, women have larger connections and more interactions between our left and right hemispheres in our brain. That accounts for our ability to have better verbal skills and intuition. Men have greater hemisphere separation which explains their abstract reasoning and visual-spatial intelligence. Women notice the obvious while men tends to take a while to catch on to everything. As said in Why Woman Are better Than Men, when women see a "caution" sign, they avoid it but when men see it, they try to be all hard like nothing scares them. Women observe their surroundings while men just go with the flow. Women can be understanding and admit when they are wrong. Men will come up with excuse after excuse until they realize that it's not working. It's plain to the eye that women are clearly better than men.
Well it's not very clear that woman are better than men. You made a good point about how woman have larger connections between thier left and right hemispheres. The whole thing about "men will come up with an excuse until they realize that it's not working" is b.s., because woman do the same thing. Which brings me to my next point. Woman lie just as much as men do, and honestly they might be a little better at it, so they dont get caught as much. And woman can go on and on and on with a lie, almost completely convincing themselves their telling the truth, but a man admits defeat and confesses.

As a man i am very observant of my surroundings, at times i may be caught slipping but i'm very aware of signs of danger. I'm also very good at reading between the lines and understanding the unexplained.
woman can be very confusing. Sometimes its hard as a man to fully understand where a womans mind is at. Even if they explained it, we would still have hard time getting it through. Honestly woman being better than men is a very bold and broad statement. It leaves room for a large argument!
Okay. Quavo, I feel where you coming from. But just because YOU are that type of person does not mean that are men are like that. And all women are not as big of "liars" as you claim us to be. Maybe it's just the woman that YOU have come across. Yes, women are complicated, but what you think that men aren't too? Everyone lies! And yes my statement is a VERY broad statement and that's why i chose it. i want people's opinions because I will get mines across TOO!
ReplyDeleteIn reading the back and forth between Quavo and Sheena, I cannot help but think that this is a perfect example for using qualifiers. As soon as a writer says "all" or "everyone," he or she opens the text to arguments against the text because there is no such thing as all or everyone in anything.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Karen, this opens up so much room for argumentation. There is no way that you could clearly justify who is better than who. There are some men that may be better than women and there are some women who may be better than men. This is a battle that has been going on forever and probably will never end. The main reason why most people believe that men are vastly superior to women is because of our society. Since the beginning of time, we have been taught that men are protectors, workers, and providers and they are better than women. But women are beginning to break the mold, there are several women who are now the "breadwinners" in there homes. The bottom line is that there is no right or wrong when it comes to men vs. women.
ReplyDeleteThis blog is awesome, I agree with this a hundred percent. I do not think you couldn't of stated your claim any better. This topic is a very argumentative topic, there has been numerous of debates dealing with whether or not the female is smarter than the male. The fact that you not only presented your topic but also published the evidence, because we all know a statement means nothing without supporting details. Facts are facts, there is no arguing with that.
ReplyDeleteBeing that we were taught that the men were always the "dominant" ones and women were suppose to do "lady stuff", it has made it harder for us women to prove men wrong. I strongly believe that women are wiser.
