Apple continues to look for ways to make changes to the normal way of things. Recently Apple has released the new MacBook Air, an ultra slim MacBook. The MacBook Air has all flash storage; according to Apple, this “eliminates the hard drive enclosure” and “frees up about 90 percent more space . . . for other important things, like a bigger battery.” This has never been done before.
Another big release for Apple is the Mac App Store; this will provide an App, application, Store where one can buy products for desktop systems. Lance Ulanoff (Editor and Senior VP of content for PC Mag) states in his article, “Apple's Mac App Store: This Changes Everything”, that auto-instillation and auto-updates “would all become natural parts of the desktop and laptop operating system.” Apple is said to have convinced thousands of developers to participate under the conditions to keep “30% of all profits.” It will be interesting to see how these new ideas will play out.
Apple is a very successful company coming up with numerous innovative ideas. It is safe to say that they are holding their own in the technology market, with the products that they release. What is interesting is that with all of their success it is not all about putting out the best product; Apple makes it a priority to make their products as eco-friendly as possible. Apple is a company that will definitely be around for a while if it is able to continue its innovative thinking.
